La bohème : Traviata : Pagliacci
La bohème by Puccini
ROMANCE • JOIE DE VIVRE • HEARTBREAK
La bohème is one of the world’s most popular and captivating operas. With its emotionally charged story of two star-crossed lovers and some of Puccini’s most ravishingly beautiful music. Humour and drama are interlaced and La bohème never fails to enthral.

Traviata by Verdi
REVELRY : LOVE : DESPAIR
Set in Paris, La Traviata is one of Verdi’s most popular and accessible masterpieces.  With Haute couture costumes. This universal classic tells the moving story of lonely Violetta's transformation from a hedonistic courtesan into a tragic heroine.  A tale of hope, despair and romantic love at its most eloquent.

Pagliacci by Leoncavallo
COMEDY · ROMANCE · BETRAYAL
Pagliacci has one of the biggest musical and emotional punches of all opera. This new adaptation inspired from Picassos circus period with a specially devised prequel takes us from the laughter of casting couch capers to the tears of tragic betrayal. Including extra music from Carmen, Mozart, O Sole Mio, and Nessun Dorma.

We have also had an overwhelmingly warm response from all our recent hosts, where we have either added a real sense of occasion and operatic magic to a special event, or helped to raise funds for a worthy cause; some of our feedback has included:

‘thank you for your magnificent efforts and wonderful performance which resulted in our Opera here at Tollard Royal…. It looks as if we will be able to give over £7000 to the charity Pramacare, which is absolutely marvellous and thanks to the efforts of all the people involved.” Richard Carlyle-Clarke, host of a Barber of Seville performance in August

‘may I thank you profoundly for putting on such a wonderful afternoon for us at Eastry Court last weekend. It was everything I had hoped for and then some. The cast was absolutely outstanding and the ensemble performance was something that set real standards... many many thanks for making my 60th so utterly memorable.’ Lord David Freud, host of a La Traviata performance in June.

‘Thank you all so much for giving us such a fantastic evening on Saturday. Already I have had so many glowing compliments about the Company and everyone was seriously impressed by the quality of the production. One of my daughters guests loved it so much that he is trying to persuade his parents to do the same in their garden!...We all agreed that it was a perfect final party for us here at Burlyns.’ Sarah Ede, host of a La Traviata Performance in June
